January 22, 2016 - Opened and consumed over three days, stored under vacuum. Still a solid BDX blend from a wonderful producer. Largely consumed by itself, but would be wonderful with a steak frites or coq au vin.

September 4, 2015 - NR. Too young, unfair to rate today. Big and tannic, still in the cradle

March 29, 2015 - I am a huge fan of Viader wines and the winery itself is amazing to sit and drink wine while overlooking the vineyard; however, I wish I could continue with an upbeat review. I have found on more than one occasion that the Viader wines, even when stored in a temperature controlled wine cellar, do not keep as long as they should. This 2009 is very light and is tasting more like a pinot noir than a big boy cab that cost over $100...very disappointing.

June 11, 2013 - Cab. Franc shows itself in the nose with some floral notes. Flavors on the palate include red currant, cherry and chocolate. Overall I am a fan of Viader and this doesn't disappoint.

April 6, 2013 - K&L Premiere Napa Valley Tasting (San Francisco): 70% Cab; 30% Cab Franc. Green pepper, red currant dominate the nose; palate of red currant, menthol and graphite. Short, gritty finish. Tannins still very present; perhaps grittiness will resolve with age. 2007 drinking much better at the moment.
