September 20, 2023 - Elegant and light, in line with vintage. No fireworks or complexity, but drinking well.

April 16, 2023 - Opened in HK, P&P and enjoyed over dinner for several hours.

Already feeling quite mature, but not tired. Lovely bouquet of red fruit on the nose, with good structure on the palate. Bright but not unbalanced acidity, and there was some pleasant sous bois coming through.

I think this is at peak, it won't improve any more, but is very enjoyable at the moment. Don't hesitate to drink up!

December 21, 2022 - Nose: hoisin sauce, green beans, salted egg yolk, cherry, dark fruits
Notes: The Clos de Tart 2000 shows a rather savory flavor and I would say lacks some finesse and elegance. Being a less superior vintage I do feel that the wine is not so balanced and lacks what one would expect from a top Burgundy. This is the second time for me to taste this wine and I think I can conclude that both times tasted quite similar. Although Clos de Tart by default are usually built bigger with a stronger palate but I do feel good vintages can be more balanced and delicate. The rather overwhelming notes of salted egg yolk and green beans were quite unique and frankly not so attractive. Perhaps a couple of years more will put this wine in a better position to be consumed but I dont think there will be a significant improvement here.

September 10, 2022 - 200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Nose of sour cherry, elegant but too light? Some pomegranate and grape fruit intermixing. Complex but borderline ripeness.

July 18, 2021 - Tannins have resolved and this is ready. I don’t envision it getting better. Soft and elegant. Cherry and cranberry on the palate. Grateful to try it and share with family.

(Domaine du Clos de Tart Clos de Tart) Medium red with pale meniscus; focused ripe cherry and raspberry nose; big, concentrated, cherry and raspberry core, with vanilla and a little hot toward-medium-plus finish (got better after some time in the glass)
