December 11, 2014 - Similar to previous experience, with maybe a little less impression of richness of the mid palate, but still drinking really well. An amazing QPR. Plenty of acidity and youngish tannins have me thinking the CT drinking window is off on this. I think it still has a good 2 to 3 years before it starts to see any decline.

January 15, 2014 - Very good. Paired with a Caprese Salad with aged goat cheese in place of Mozzarella. Dark fruit and oak in the nose, with slight oak, berry, and a bit of spice on the palate. Sediment noted in bottle, and tannins are quite smooth.

April 11, 2013 - Started off kind of bitter but opened up into what it's been before - nice wine but not entirely seeming like a classic set of Sangiovese flavours. More in the new world style in the sense of very ripe fruit, although this one has great balance. Drinking well now and should go for a couple more years easily.

December 8, 2012 - Continues to surprise me with the quality level. Great acidity with a richer mid palate than Tuscan sangiovese. But not round at all. Plenty of tannins and structure. I wouldn't be surprised if some petite sirah is blended into this. French oak is clearly present in the spicy nose, but is well integrated in both the nose and the finish. Doesn't have the earthiness or minerality of an old world sangiovese, but can't have everything at this price.

June 27, 2012 - This bottle reminded me of a Rosso de Montalcino -- definite sangio flavors and acids, but more depth than a typical chianti. Unfortunately, a little bitterness that kept it from getting a higher score.

April 18, 2012 - Dark fruit, earth, and sweet tarts candy on the nose. Tart cherries and tobacco make way for an acidic red with great tannins that fills the mouth and dries the tongue.
