September 29, 2023 - 11th of 12, opened 30 minutes then decanted 30 minutes, perfect cork and level, now well past its awkward stage so typical of these 95s, lovely rich fruit, proper Gevrey heft, mineral, hint of spice, long and generous, little upside now, 10+ years. A perhaps mean F (17.5)......and as so often with Mortet wines more attractive than technical mark.

August 1, 2020 - Compared to the glorious 99 Mortet LSJ, this wine reflected about the terroir with animal, fur, meat, dark berries and minerals. Palate was soft and integrated, resembling the nose. 91-92

December 19, 2019 - Christmas Winps (La Trompette, Chiswick): Medium garnet, pale garnet rim. Rich nose, red and black fruits, sesame seed - still quite marked by oak. Medium/full on the palate, rich. quite fruit still, touch of meatiness, vibrant acidity, firm tannins restricting finish.

October 17, 2019 - Slow oxed for 3 hours before serving. Wild berries, animal, stems and herbs. Very Mortet in style. The tannins were resolved. Very expressive. I enjoyed this a lot as it was signature Mortet.
