November 5, 2022 - Unlike the '65 Montrose which was just a diminutive version of an old gran vin, the Calon-Segur really shows the vintage. It's green and watery, fruit entirely absent, withering to the ashes of a brushfire on the finish. A touch of oxidation has crept in. It sounds terrible and perhaps it is, but for the worst wine ever made from this estate it has interest still.
