September 6, 2016 - Dark red. Dark fruits, berries, pepper, herbs, and tobacco on the nose. Well integrated tannins, dark fruit, and plum jam on the palate. Good finish.
September 1, 2016 - Very good not too heavy Tuscan red. Excellent with food.
January 5, 2016 - Another great bottle of Insoglio, this time with Beth's homemade lasagna. Fantastic!
May 25, 2015 - Once again, this is a Tuscan to love (for all that makes Tuscan wines distinctive), especially at this price point!
May 14, 2015 - My first bottle of this beauty. Medium-to-full body with strong legs. Indigo color with dark garnet edges. Notes of brambles and fall harvest on the nose. On the palate classic Tuscan berries with toasty notes of spice, including (surprisingly) paprika. A nice finish with well-integrated tannins. Fantastic pairing with Beth's homemade lasagna with zucchini.
July 16, 2014 - Brought to club
May 26, 2014 - - Ruby color with slow forming legs - Still needs time
March 24, 2014 - Another corked bottle, that's number two. Cheap infected corks?
November 2, 2013 - Magnum bottle, cellared for 2 years. Man, this has evolved to a really good wine. Layered bouquet with tobacco, dark fruit, spices and - with age - autumn leaves. A great sniffer. Mouth is completely harmonious, with integrated but firm tannins, great structure and acids to meet the hearty pasta Bolognese from chuck roll we paired it with. Last bottle, regrettably.
June 3, 2013 - Decanted for an hour. Served at 60F. Really like how this one has developed. Paired nicely with home cooked filet.
