August 23, 2020 - A little tired, to be sure, but still has a nice core of plum (even if getting pruny) and some earthy notes. Medium finish. Some nice spice going on also.

May 10, 2014 - Over the hill, port-like. Hour decant, drinkable but barely

March 27, 2014 - This wine was well past its "expiration date" but with excellent storage, it had settled into a somewhat sweetish, clean, very drinkable old lady.

Not a blockbuster to begin with, the wine is fragrant, balanced if somewhat thin, with sweetish raisiny notes. Very varietally correct in terms of flavor profile.

To those of you with bottles still in your cellars - too late! Sorry. As anyone who follows Ridge knows, their wines age better than most but eventually time takes its toll. Its certainly drinkable, but not really a food wine anymore. More of a curiosity at this point.

September 13, 2013 - Drinking very nicely in fact smoother and softer than many mouvedres. Ridge definitely is a long lived wine.

July 22, 2013 - Not one of Ridge's better wines, at least at this age. The wine tastemuch older than a 2003. It's musty.
