April 13, 2024 - Aromas jumped out of the glass almost overwhelming the senses with their complexity and beauty, tar, cherry, smoke, roses, long finish, complete wine at peak, will likely hold/improve for years

September 23, 2023 - An early glimpse of the dregs with light sediment after double decanting for dinner tonight-tar and sour cherry, great acidity, tight, and quite tannic. We'll see what the 9 hours of air does. More later...

And this turned out to be wonderful. Dull red. Captivating aromas of tar, red fruit, and forest moss. Medium bodied rather than a light, ethereal weight Nebbiolo. Dynamic mix of bark, tart cherry that sweetens over time, faint green herb, significant chocolatey tannins, and zingy acidity that leaves the palate quivering. Great palate impact, sap, and length. Beautiful now with this amount of air but should continue to unfold for another 15 to 20 years. Altogether exciting bottle.

September 20, 2023 - My first experience with this wine. Seemed faded and too light bodied, possibly an off bottle or just not to my palate.
