Lys rød farge, helt klar. Litt mer mot rød/orange enn 2009-årgsngen.
Forsiktig lukt av rød frukt, men med litt mer alderspreg enn 2009-årgangen.
Smaksrik. Godt med syre. Rød frukt. Ingen merkbare tanniner. Mer syre enn 2009-årgangen.
En god vin, men 2009-årgangen var hakket bedre.
June 8, 2019 - Domaine de Montille Beaune 1er Cru Les Perrières: Drukket sammen med 2009-årgangen. Klar lys mursteinsrød farge. Lukter mye. Lukt av røde bær, kirsebær og moreller. Kjenner også litt lukt av kaffe. Syrlig lett anslag. Kraftigere midtpart. Syrligheten gjør så comback mot slutten. Lang. Rips. Totalt sett mye syre. Lettdrikkelig og god.
March 30, 2016 - Private Tasting (@Private location): Clear, pale ruby-garnet color with orange and brownish reflexes. Medium intense, developing nose, strongly reminds me on industrial grade strawberry yoghurt.
Dry, maybe a bit of residual sugar, good acidity and present, velvet tannins, both very well integrated. Very harmonious, elegant, lots of fruit (strawberry), soft and feminine, but with enough pressure on the palate. Finish is elegant and quite long. Needs a lot of air to fully open up. At the peak, but will stay there for several more years.
February 18, 2016 - Very nice. Quite freshly acidic burgundy. Very light in color. Good nose with red berries and a bit barnyard. Aniseed.
Better aromatics then last time (autumn 2014). Coravin sample.
February 28, 2015 - Blank, veldig lys og krystallklar mursteinsrød farge.
Intens lukt, dominert av blomster og røde bær.
Balansert og frisk. Veldig god syre. Lett, men kompleks. Elegant. Ren smak. Lang god ettersmak. Gode tanniner.
Helthetsinntrykket er en meget god vin, en av mine beste Burgund-opplevelser. Glad jeg har flere av denne i kjelleren samt noen flasker av 2009-årgangen å se fram til.
August 23, 2014 - Initially closed aromatics and a sharp citrus acidity.
Latter in the evening the nose was better with cherries and a hint of almond. Palate was pleasant and the acidity had mellowed to a point were it was correct but quite fresh.
I assume it needs some time in the cellar.
June 6, 2012 - Smaking med Etienne de Montille: Klar, lys rød med hint av oransje. Ung, søtlig nese med noe pepper. Lett anslag. Stram, smal og syrlig frukt. Lette, tørre tanniner. Lang avslutning.
December 25, 2011 - Feminine style. Aromatically open with a floral-farmy quality--not overly stinky but not purely fruit and spice driven. Light/mid weight, med/high acidity, in a 'minera'l-driven rather than plush style. Flavors of pomegranate and cranberry finishing with an integrated core of sweeter red fruits (Fr. oak, perhaps) and spicy-floral inner aromas. Has some firm but unobtrusive tannin. A precise, pure and classy wine. 2/3 fermented with stems according to producer.
October 17, 2011 - Domaine de Montille Wine Dinner (The Village Pub, Woodside, CA): Tasted alongside the 2008 Grèves. By itself, the Grèves is the more impressive wine. The Perrières comes across as too flinty and austere. However, the Perrières was a better pairing with the rabbit. The Perrières has good cherry and strawberry aromas, but is very minerally on the palate. The Grèves lacks the structure the minerality of the Perrières provides.
