August 15, 2020 - A friend opened a bottle of this from his cellar to share with me.
This was in excellent form, a classic Chianti with no signs of being past maturity.
    Great drink!

January 23, 2016 - Iron and cherry. Deep garnet color. Sleek delicious mid. Still lots of power and tannin on the finish. Mature but not slowing down. Excellent wine.

October 5, 2015 - Somewhat disappointing. After an hour in the decanter, it had a sort of oxidised old wine aroma, like leaves, with some blackish fruit underneath. Broad and expansive in the mouth, woth chocolate notes. Seemed a bit old or cooked. Bad bottle? I can't imagine this wine should really be too old.

June 14, 2014 - Eric's Birthday at La Vigna: classic notes of chianti. fully mature - drink now though no rush. Middle took about 30 min to open up - was a bit hollow at start but filled in. black fruit, touch of earthiness, excellent finish of herbs and spices. Amazing with food. Just a classic example.
