April 5, 2015 - Solide ! Pas d'arôme de vernis au nez, bouche bien balancée entre le sucre et l'acidité. Potentiel de garde évident !

December 31, 2014 - I tend to like these Sauternes/Barsac young. This remain absolutely wonderful now and I am tempted to drink my bottles sooner rather than later. From 375 ml.

December 31, 2014 - 2005, 2007 and 2009 served at the same time. All very good but 2007 stole the show. 2009 runner up. QPR is very high.

December 24, 2014 - I love Sauternes young when they are this good. Light lemon color. I got a whiff of pink grapefruit on the scrumptuous nose. Palate is sweet but balanced with a touch of bitters from lots of botrytis. A bit of petrol on finish is not obtrusive. Drank from .375.

November 11, 2014 - Brought to CT SEA group. Loved it once again, with very ripe, sweet white and yellow fruits (pear, pineapple, apricot) predominating. Remains clean and fresh.

(Château Doisy-Daëne (Barsac)) Beautiful purity here, with pineapple and citrus fruits, elegant and fresh, with a really attractive style. There is a really fine weight to this on the palate, supple and rather more weighty and creamy, with softer and sweeter edges than I expected from a Barsac. There is some good grip in the middle though, coming in beneath the fine fruit. More crystalline elements on a second taste, with star fruit, perhaps a little more typical of Barsac, but also nuances of lychee, honey and cinnamon, so overall this is a very rich and expressive wine. Nevertheless there is plenty of good acidity beneath the fruit too.

(Chateau Doisy-Daëne Barsac) Residual sugar 155 g/l and 15% Sauvignon Blanc in the assemblage. A fabulously vibrant nose here, with melded crystals of honey and aromatic yellow fruits. A rather fat start on the palate, although it is composed and also rather floral, rich and elegant with a nice acidic cut. Great harmony here. This is very fine indeed.
