May 2, 2024 - Wonderful tangy marmalade on the palate along with almonds and marzipan. This is full bodied, rich and sweet. Just so delicious. Long and complex. Drinking beautifully now and will last a very long time.
April 27, 2024 - From 375. Dried apricot, mango, peach and honey with white florals. Very balanced and not overdone. A step up in intensity from the 2008
April 23, 2024 - not much change since my last bottle four years ago - not particularly complex or long but this has a lovely balance to it and is incredibly easy to drink and refreshing - delicious!
February 11, 2024 - From 375ml. Consistent with previous notes.
February 8, 2024 - Not overly complex but very pure and delicious. Aromas and flavors of orange marmalade and boytritis spice. Good acidity, moderate length finish.
January 28, 2024 - Subtile and perfect balans
November 25, 2023 - 2x 1/2 showing rich, concentrated flavours of honey and apricot, and some orange. Good concentration with balanced acidity (if slightly lacking), drink or keep - taste in 6 to 12 months.
November 25, 2023 - Ed & Sam to dinner (Home): 1/12 Half. Mid to full old gold. First look at this and it’s already quite developed with a saffron laden denseness to the honeyed apricot and orange fruit. A fortuitously good match for the cardamom crème brûlée it was served alongside. A good wine, excellent even, but I’d like a little more zip and acidity to lend a little freshness to the finish. ****
August 31, 2023 - A very impressive Sauternes, with rich, concentrated flavours of honey and apricot, and some orange. Intense and long; excellent now, and with a good future.
May 1, 2023 - Much more developed than the previous (half) bottle, drunk about 6 weeks ago. This has quite a deep colour, gold, almost bronze. The palate is very rich, with apricot, orange and honeycomb notes. There is sufficient acidity, but the wine seems fully mature and is excellent now.
