September 16, 2013 - Winorama with a surprise (engagement)!; 9/15/2013-9/18/2013 (Napa Valley California): Tasted at the Cardinale winery. This was less approachable than the '09 - still very tannic and a bit tight. The shredded duck really helped bring out the flavors though. On the tongue it was just pure velvet with hints of fruit towards the end of the mouthful (unripe blackberries, maybe some black currants). Was a definite favorite of one of the folks at the table and by the end of the tasting might have become mine as well.

June 2, 2012 - Drank at Auction Napa Valley. Very expressive nose with burning ember/charred wood happening. Dark black and blue fruit on the nose as well. The palate is rich yet open for business with lovely structure and mouth coating viscosity. Would not open this for 2-3 more years if you own it.

October 2, 2010 - Red and black plum on the nose, with some blackberry. Big, rich, dry and bold. Very powerful.
    - Tasted at Marché Bacchus 9/16/10
