June 18, 2015 - Cranberry, light pepper, some earth and cherry. Medium bodied, good amount of spice. Drink now.

November 29, 2011 - Decanted for 30 minutes, served at room temperature. Color: Medium Purple. Nose: Green Pepper, Black Cherry, Ginger, Plum, Raisin, Clove, Syrup. Palate: see nose. Finish: Medium. Tannins: Medium. Alcohol: 14 % showing a little. Full bodied mouthfeel with initial juicy dark fruit. Mid-palate turns into a seductive mixture of baking spices and syrup. Finishes warm with plummy and floral notes. Extremely complex and fascinating wine especially considering the price range. A wonderful surprise at €14. 90-91 points.

January 18, 2011 - Poured into a decanter c. 1,5h before serving. Fairly muted nose consisting mostly of dark cherry, with a hint of alcohol. On the palate the wine is much more giving though. Dark cherry, leather, licorice and spice are all there to be found. Even though the alcohol spikes a bit, overall the stucture is very good with nice acidity, mouth drying but not harsh tannins and longish finish. Drinkability is very good, and especially with red meat this is pretty delicious! I reckon the alcohol is going to calm down with time so will probably get better with short term aging. For 14 € it is a no-brainer to buy more.
