September 30, 2013 - A bit more closed this time, sweet cherry on the nose, nicely balanced and generous fruit and acidity, mild tannins, not especially memorable. Probably now is the time to wait on this vintage, maybe 4-5 years.

June 12, 2013 - Quite soft and light-medium body, could do with more body & structure, modest reasonably integrated tannins at this point but dark chocolate, currant, mocha, red fruit( e.g., cherry) flavors are nice with modest, but enjoyable finish. A little alcohol nose but that seems to fade with air time and may drop out with another year in in the bottle. Nice wine for the price point, but lacks complexity of more serious 2009s

March 4, 2013 - Am surprised how good this is. Quite soft and light, could do with more weight, but quite lovely. Has a creamy texture that I welcome and don't normally find with wine at this relatively low price point. Drinking fine right now as far as I can see. Only thing missing is weight and intensity, but there's no edge or waywardness. As good as this is, I tasted the '10 at the SF UGC too, and found it to be perhaps even better

January 4, 2013 - This was quite tannic and a bit green. We found the midpalate has some interesting details but just really couldnt access much of it. Rather backwards for 2009. Need 7 yrs, worthy of a revisit?

August 10, 2012 - An excellent Graves and the last holdout Chateau withing the city limits of Bordeaux. Deep garnet in color. Gorgeously expressive nose of cherry, roasted meats, sweet spice, blackberry, dark chocolate, graphite, and a very welcome mint note. On the palate the wine shows a little lean, but still expresses generous red fruit and herbal notes. Tannins are very pronounced and not too fully integrated at this point, but this is a young wine. This wine should be really sexy in a couple of years.
