July 22, 2017 - Dark purple. Cassis and black currant, herbal greens, with oak spices and a slight aftertaste of vanilla. Surprisingly tannic compared to the 2009 I had earlier this year, with a firm thread of acidity running through it. Good depth and length. The structure dominates at the moment. Very good, but still young.

    May 18, 2017 - Same notes 9/20/16, however just didn't seem like a 94 this time, so 93

April 27, 2017 - Slow ox for 7 hours and then decanted for 90 minutes. Rich purple in color. Loren's note from 2013 is spot on. This is a well made Bordeaux blend that was full of flavor and very easy to drink. Tons of time left. I will not hesitate to hold my other bottle for a while.

February 19, 2017 - Pnp, drank 1/2 of the bottle over 3 hours. Tight at first, Pinot-like, slowly opened to reveal a CA/Bordeaux profile. Acidic finish, soft fruit didn't show until after a few hours.

24 hours later: much more sweet fruit was present, softer tannins. Still a bit acidic finish. Hold or decant.

September 20, 2016 - Still a little young if you want to PnP. Needed a good two hours to really start showing its best stuff. Smooth, integrated tannins, good acidity, dark purple, blackberry, licorice, and stone on the palate. After three hours, developed a very nice finish. Very nice California style Bordeaux. Maybe a better score in a few years, but damn good now. 94
