November 11, 2022 - Better than the last bottle I had. Opened two hours prior to dinner. The nose was dark berries. The palate was dark berries, plums and coffee. The finish was moderate. Drinking nicely at 15 years old.

June 8, 2022 - decanted one hour, notable sediment; mature weedy blackcurrant aromatics; ripeness of the vintage prevails on the palate, blackberry & black currant again; firm, a little tense still, tho fully grown up.

suspect this has turned out exactly as intended by Bruce & Ehren - that's a win. a rare Ca. cab in the rotation; satisfies for its lack of exaggeration.

prime strip, rosemary & butter-basted; escarole w/garlic & lemon; buttered new - dug red creamers

May 18, 2022 - Brooding. Deep density of dark blue fruits with a gentle roses overlay. Powerful tannins. Back palate hints of expresso coffee.
Tongue and toe curling tannins. How can it be so young at 15 years?

I have 3 more bottles... lucky me!!

May 20, 2020 - Beautiful. I was afraid I'd waited too long, but it's in a great place right now.

April 20, 2020 - Took a little while to open up good cabernet medium body. Did go well with lamb. Not very complex shortish ending. Tannins mostly resolved. Not likely to get better

July 27, 2019 - Lots and lots of sediment. Do not open a bottle of this without decanting. I found this on all my bottles. Very deep color. Muted nose so if you like a big bouquet on the nose, you will be disappointed here. Once you taste it though, it has a deep, brooding mouth feel. Silky and dark. That said, the wine is lighter than that would suggest. I drank it with a pork chop and it went well. Might be too light for heavier meat. The bottle has great fruit, even at 12 years old.

February 2, 2019 - Even better than previous bottles. Deep and dark with a short finish but good flavor, nice fruit, no tannins though. By the third day it was much better, much more mellow and a great aged feel.

June 22, 2018 - Still good, but may be sliding down the backside of its life.

October 16, 2017 - Needs at least 20 to 30 minutes in the glass. This is very smooth and balanced with spicy black fruit aromatics. Typical 2007 in that it comes across as delicate, yet with surprising structure sneaking through at the end. Have to disagree with others here......I found the finish fairly long, dry, and flavorful. Another Napa 07 drinking really well.
