July 8, 2010 - This was a pleasant surprise. Opened it on a whim not expecting much but it turned out to be a nice bottle of aged cabernet. It was still holding on to its fruit (barely though). I decanted the wine due to a crumbling cork. It took us about 1 hr to drink the bottle, and at the end it was drying up. On the nose i got black fruits, cloves, not much oak, some prunes. There was still a tiny bit of tannin left, and the finish was on the short side.

June 1, 2010 - A cloudy mild, clearly aged bottle of wine, with orange coloring showing its time in bottle. Not overpowering, but still tasty, and as a gift shared with 8 friends it felt like a very special occasion. We all enjoyed it and felt lucky to have experienced it. I just wish I had a little more of it myself.
