    November 15, 2014 - -- cracked and poured --
    -- tasted non-blind over 2-3 hours --

NOSE: brett noticeable at first, but not as strong as previous bottles; blackberry jam; brett intensifies in the glass.

BODY: fine sediment present; violet-black color of great depth; medium to medium-full bodied.

TASTE: smoky with strong brett on the palate. Very bretty.

    July 27, 2014 - -- cracked and poured --
    -- tasted non-blind over a few hours --

NOSE: ripe; grape; hint of sweet stewed tomato; oak; black cherry Twizzlers licorice.

BODY: dark violet color of medium-deep to deep depth; slight brick hue; medium-full bodied.

TASTE: dark purple fruits; leather and horse stable(brett); a touch smoky; gentle dryness on gums; 14.9% alc. is well-hidden. I enjoyed this, but there’s a lot of brett in here, even for me. Drink over the next couple years.

April 21, 2012 - Color - somewhat clear garnet. The nose on this wine is fantastic - smokey, fruity, dusty, makes me want to dive into the glass. When first opened, the wine tasted almost jammy; with a bit of time it (or I) mellowed. Nice dark fruit flavor, followed by a lovely grippy long finish.

April 14, 2011 - Denner, Kinero, Ranchero tasting at 1st Street with Anthony Yount & Amy Butler (1st Street Wine Co in Livermore): Dark ruby-garnet lightening towards the edges. Nose of intense, ripe purple fruits, camphor, and some sauvage earthiness. Palate is bombastic and flamboyant purple fruits, almost pushing the edge on ripeness, but finishes with a cranberry/pomegranite edge and mouth-watering acidity and an old-world earthiness. Interesting wine, enjoyable crowd-pleaser, this will be short-term drinking hedonistic enjoyment for us.

    April 9, 2011 - OC4POKER IX - Adios Brian & Ashley; 4/2/2011-4/9/2011 (WCC - Irvine CA): 2xblind. Stumped

Mature dark fruit, cherry nose. Concentration of dark fruit, licorice. Great finish. Excellent wine.
