Critic tasting note: "(2004) Made from estate fruit from two vineyards, this spends 16 months in French oak, again about a quarter new. It seems very much sweeter and more dense on the nose, though with a violet and rose-hip fragrance as well as solid cherry and kirsch fruit. There's a little touch of mint-humbug, and a background earthiness that is very attractive. On the palate this is an undeniably hedonistic style of Pinot, with sweet, unctuous cassis and bittersweet plummy fruit, a great mocha-coffee support of oak and gentle but balanced tannins and acidity. Very fine and delicious." - 91/100, Tom Cannavan
