March 2, 2024 - Agree with prior notes this is a very classy wine. Gunsmoke and red fruit with lovely gravel underneath. Drinking beautifully with 20-30min in the glass.

October 22, 2023 - This is a very classy pape clement. It’s one of those wines that gets you scratching the head and wondering if the bottle is mis labeled. Very suave, this was quite Margaux like and was throwing allot of beautiful tones of violet, earth, and blood. Really dry and perfect in balance, it held its own after a most beautiful 2009 carre. This is classic Bordeaux. Ready, Drink!

October 1, 2023 - Expected better from a Pape Clement. Quite nice to drink, but had lots of less renowned wines doing better. Will not improve.

July 14, 2023 - 2004 Horizontal Dinner (Tunglok Peking Duck Novena): Deep inky ruby. Really very fruity on the nose, but seems to have been masked by a dank basement feel. The palate does have that fungal character along with ripe fruits. But have chosen not to rate this as it is indeed cork-tainted and not showing at its best

July 12, 2023 - Slow ox’ed for about 1h. 6 years since my last bottle this was again showing really well. Still a dark garnet but the oak that might have seemed a bit rich in its youth has been nicely absorbed in the meantime. With a medium (+) body clearly more fruit than a 07 Leoville Barton that followed. Just great classic Bdx.
