February 11, 2016 - This was an enjoyable Barbera. Nice, smooth medium bodied wine. It had a good amount of fruit and was not excessively acidic.
April 24, 2015 - Ótimo. Acidez no ponto certo, acompanha muito bem entradas e frutos do mar.
February 7, 2015 - Even better than the last bottle. Dark cherries and blackberries meet leather and cedar on the nose. The palate is alive with ripe fruit flavors and spice. Very smooth with a long finish, the wine may even improve with another year or two. I'd say grab it anywhere you can find it.
February 1, 2014 - Deep ruby red color in the glass. Notes seem to be consistent with previous tasters. Leather and cedar with both bright and dark red fruits on the nose and hints of brown sugar or some baking spice. The balance on the palate feels like a peaking point for this wine in that it seems to be softening (this was probably pretty tight 2-3 years ago), but the acidity holds everything together perfectly. The tannin is somewhat light, but definitely has a presence. The finish is drawn out well by the acidity. Nice by itself but is seriously enjoyable with food. 89+
February 1, 2014 - Leather, cedar, violet, woody, graphite. Black cherry, fresh. Some heat on the nose. Starting to show age, subtle secondary desert rain note I love so much. Palate is softening acidity is notable, very delightful! Perfect age.
August 7, 2013 - Dark crimson, high-toned blackberry, raspberry, black cherry and plum on the nose, spicy and tart on the attack with loads of black and red floral-driven fruit, finish is tangy, long and complex with earthy undertones (just the way I like my barberas)
August 3, 2013 - Earthy, cherry, a little tart but nice
July 24, 2013 - God, men karaktärslös
March 28, 2013 - Blind at home/Auggie's: Garrigue, eucalyptus, touch of pepper, wet earth, bark, blackberry, black cherry, wild blackberry candy (sweet tarts), raw meat, hint of pepper, higher acidity, medium bod, slightly higher alc.. Guessed 2010 CdR. Missed the Italian-esque markers here. Very aromatic and more complex and characterful than a lighter fruitier Barbera.
September 28, 2012 - Pacific Point Wine Tasting Club - Barbera Night: Garnet color with red fruit, and oak aromas. On the palate, it's between light and medium-bodied with cherry, chocolate, and spice flavors. Medium-long finish.
