January 15, 2017 - I found this to be a very well-made wine with a good variety of flavors - Not quite a bordeaux style, but the blending tamed the cab notes and makes a more full and interesting wine than some of the Cal Cab cult monoliths. This is drinking right today and, somewhat surprisingly, was not as good the second day, making me think that the right time to drink this is now.

August 3, 2016 - Really nice fruit, on the sweet side, cassis, cherry, blueberry, lengthy compelling finish. Good contribution from the barrel. Still youthful and that's good.

March 23, 2016 - This was an absolutely stunning wine. In a week that featured '95 Mouton, '09 Le Meal, '08 The Line Grenache, '09 This is Not an Exit Syrah, and '01 Lokoya Howell Mtn, this guy was up there near the top of the list. Decanted this magnum for 2-3 hours. Exhibited superbly smooth tannins and a long, pleasant finish. Classic Bordeaux nose and taste for this wonderful California blend. Drink it now if you've got it because it's right in it's sweet spot though it likely has several more years left.

December 17, 2015 - Mouthfeel. Balance. Delicious. Casis, leather, tobacco, lead pencil, cedar, plum, BlackBerry, chocolate, coffee, dark berries. Very yummy.

November 30, 2015 - This wine tastes great. It's still young though and should be even better later. It's very enjoyable right after opened. Hints of lead pencil integrates well with typical California dark berries, with traces of spices. It maintained its peak till 3.5 hours and then slightly down from there. Secondary flavors should develope more after a few years. This wine has a great potential of delveloping an even greater balance between Bordeaux style and Cal Cab
traits later. I will keep my other bottles for at least another 5 years.
