December 2, 2023 - This 375 ml bottle came from a 276-barrel yield. The wine aged rather nicely and seemingly well beyond its 2015 "drink by" date. I noted black and blue fruits and a medium finish. Of course, we had to drink both bottles.
December 5, 2022 - Best of the recent three bottles. Had with mushroom and bacon spaghetti and burrata. Bright cherry, no harshness, showing little visible bricking.
December 7, 2021 - Had with grilled tuna and farmer's market potatoes and carmelized onions. Red cherries. not especially complex but quaffable.
September 5, 2021 - Had with farmer's market king salmon caught off Stinson with roasted corn, Cherokee purples, and burrata. Some heat at first taste. Cherries, mint. Lacking complexity but holding up well.
November 28, 2015 - Drinking well. Medium weight and fruit. Went well with turkey day
November 24, 2014 - Much better than the bottle we opened only a few months ago (the other may have been corked?). Smokey, subtle fruit, and a medium finish. Very good and time to drink!
September 26, 2014 - Nice
August 11, 2014 - very nice. Balanced
May 28, 2014 - Well balanced. Nice.
November 22, 2013 - Crimson/ruby appearance. Tart and succulent, with varietal notes of cherries, raspberries, conifer, sandalwood, and touches of cumin, vanilla, and vegetality. The youthful, slate-driven, mid-weight palate has a graphite middle and picks up a copious amount of tobacco on the crushed rock finish. It needs a good amount of air to open up. Another year will do it good.
