June 8, 2015 - this really has perked up nicely. A deeper straw color as it has aged. Very, very accessible right now. Decent acidity from limes good amount of mineral, smell and taste of orchard fruit yellow sweet delicious apple and some Asian pear. A very deft touch of oak and a decent length on finish with some salinity.

I wish I had held all three bottles this long.

September 19, 2014 - Really a product of the warm '09 vintage. lower acidity than you would hope for, but acceptable. Mineral is present, similar to its locale near chambolle-montrachet. The fruit is orchard in style and a touch of pitted fruit on both the nose and palate. Nice golden straw colors, and well integrated touches of oak. A very good table wine, that doesn't necessarily need food to be consumed do to lower acids then say, Chablis. It did pair nicely with Coulummiers cheese with crushed raspberry topping and some basic charcuterie.

September 16, 2014 - This has integrated nicely since I last had it...pears, a hint of lemon curd, and just enough acidity. It seems a bit dilute though, even for a village wine. I guess I was expecting more from boillot regardless.

March 10, 2014 - Great QPR! This would beat out most village wines. After 4 years this wine has developed some complexity and still vibrant with a solid core of minerality and acidity.

December 6, 2013 - Fin røykaktig mineralitet bak årgangens litt feite, sødmefulle frukt. Flott friskhet. Vellykket BB, tightere enn forrige flaske. Trives best ved lave temperaturer. 87p.

November 24, 2013 - I'm a little concerned about this wine. There's a disjointed, slightly hot, almost oxidative quality to it...but it could also just be closed up tight. Either possibility is odd for an young bourgogne. I can detect a little bit of the good stuff (fruit & minerals) underneath all this, but its hard to get past it.

Unfortunately I didn't write about the bottle I had back in April, but I distinctly remember having a similar experience. Puzzling...I'll hold my remaining 4 until next spring and try again.

June 2, 2013 - This really needs a bit more cellar time. It was a nice straw color, and right after opening the bottle it appeared a bit closed and the acidity/minerals were the biggest thing showing. After this had some airtime in the glass and a touch of a warm up, then the orchard fruit and white pitted fruit started to peak out from behind the other components. I do think that price paid was a bargain, even though it is a basic bourgogne blanc. This makes me want to go buy another makers Bourgogne blanc, Villamont as it is grown just outside of the Puligny-Montrachet boarders and can be had for under a $20 at Century. Their Chassagne-Montrachet is under $36, so its all a little bit relative.
