December 26, 2023 - blind
we had it after Keller's Morstein 2009. For me a hint fresher and more precise than the first one. Still a few years ahead. No petrol. 94
November 19, 2022 - Glass: Zalto Bordeaux
Popped and poured, drunk over three days. Clear, deep glowing yellow color. Clean, pronounced and developing nose. Smoky, tobacco leaves, Amalfi citrus, ripe fruit. Very deep and complex. Simply beautiful!
On the palate dry with some residual sugar and extract sweetness. Medium+, ripe acidity. Warm, ripe fruit, Amalfi citrus, tobacco leaves, herbs and orange zests. Very salty-mineral. Amazing tension, depth and pressure. Great structure and balance. Very long, complex finish. This bottle is on its peak, but absolutely no hurry. One of the best Wittmann Morstein I had so far. 95+
June 9, 2021 - Consistent with previous notes.
May 25, 2021 - Korken bröselig, Wein leicht beeinträchtigt, etwas besser nach 6 Std. Belüftung
March 20, 2021 - Medium yellow. Lemon confit bouquet. Round and dense. Like sucking lemon curd across a mouth of gravel. Medium bodied, long honey inflected final.
Very impressive. Balanced and complete.
February 6, 2021 - Lovely wine. Lots going on. Full of character but not a food wine. Keep for contemplation. years left in it.
October 20, 2019 - Long, layered, rich, fresh, viscous, quite fabulous.
October 20, 2019 - Fantastisk glas, men kan med fordel gemmes længere.
October 18, 2019 - Extremely light in color. Elegant aromas with some toffee. Fat, velvety, dry and concentrated.
September 17, 2019 - Horizontal tasting of the27 best 2009 German Dry Rieslings; 9/16/2019-9/26/2019 (Concept Resling 14.09.2019): Semiblind,
I guessed Keller Morstein and preferred it narrowly to the keller in the same flight. Generous, rich, powerful but elegant and balanced. For me Top 3 that evening. At least 5-7 years to go. Some flintstones in the finish. 95+
