February 16, 2015 - fragrant nose. nice acidity. verve. licorice. spice. a bit of candied cherry fruit that is in the way of an otherwise very pretty wine from Ojai.

December 27, 2014 - Not the best of the Ojai Pinots, but better than most of its competitors. Very food-friendly (baked salmon in this case), bright tart-cherry fruit, nicely balanced with round tannins.

April 18, 2013 - Blind at Auggie's: Med. ruby red; bubble gum, red raspberry, blackberry, yeasty, parsley, tea, cola; red fruit dominates, meat, chocolate cherries; mouth has cranberry, nutmeg-cinnamon, strawberry, earth, herbal notes of bay leaf, eucalyptus. A touch hot, good acid. Guessed NZ Pinot b/c the herbal quality.
