March 25, 2017 - Nose with wood an dark berries, black cherry. On palate full and smooth, spicy herbal notes, well integrated tannins. Ready to drink now.
March 11, 2017 - Drinking phenomenally well right now...in its window for sure. Loads of red and dark fruit and earthy notes with the right amount of spice, raisin and supple tannins. Fairly high alcohol but doesn't come across as hot. Great mouth feel. Very nice. 94 pts. PJP 2017.

I have to admit that I believe it is sligthly past its best time. But still very enjoyable!!
April 16, 2015 - Chocolate strawberry, blueberry raspberry. Tart yet soft acids. Carmel oakiness. Wow, this is a zin? A spicyness green pepper or cassis. banana peel. Drink now. Did I say wow? Wow
December 24, 2014 - Dark ruby in color with slight bricking at the edges, this wine showed very ripe cherry, raspberry jam, Christmas spices and smoke on the nose. The mouth feel was softer than expected with more jammy and spicy notes. The finish was long but soft with beautiful integration of fruit, acidity and secondary flavors.
A Christmas gift from my bosses' cellar, this was an outstanding, aged zin that is in an excellent spot right now. The softening tannins held the 15.2% abv in check. This wine easily has 3-5 more years of life left but why wait?
October 13, 2014 - Big zin with plenty of fruit, although not overly jammy like others. Drinking well now, though still might have some time left before peak.
October 5, 2014 - Ink colour and thickness. Ridiculous amount of concentration made it undrinkable after one glass.
January 22, 2014 - This is a deep, complex, almost masculine Zin! Not like those sweet, girly, jammy Zins. Excellent!
December 27, 2012 - This wine reminds me of John Wayne. Hints on blueberry and chocolate. Groucho Marx would of loved this tasty luxury.
