September 2, 2022 - consistent with the vintage, this wine is now open and generous, with forward nose and palate. Prune, chocolate and spices. Laccking the finesse and restraint that I hold dear in CNP and that were abundant in the Grand Veneur Les Origines 2006 that followed it. Drink remaining bottles soon

July 31, 2022 - My go to C9dP! No heat as so many have: bramble, plum, earthy, blackberry, tobacco leaf, dark chocolate note, fig, medium to full body, nice long dark fruit driven finish.
