August 15, 2014 - Decanted for one hour. May get to a 94 or 95. Kirsch and black fruit. Full bodied and super smooth tannins. This has all the traditional CDP notes. Figs and pipe tobacco.

July 3, 2014 - Pleasing notes of black tea and olives are the high points of this middle of the road CdP that's adequate but somehow misses the mark; all the elements are there but in the mouth it comes off as light weight and linear in places where I want it to be full and round. Will improve with some time, but it'll never be a serious contender. Many better choices at this price point.

June 7, 2014 - Ging auch leicht gekühlt bei der Hitze. Braucht aber noch enorm viel Luft. Schöne Struktur

May 3, 2014 - A lovely effort full of perfectly ripe dark fruit, classy orange zest, abundant flowers, minerals(!) and Asian spice. Alongside the intense fruit, the balanced but still noticeable acidity is adjoined by soft velvety tannins. The palate is simply gorgeous. The structure tells me there is plenty to give from this effort for many years to come. I am impressed the primary fruit is still present but the integration and balance is certainly noticeable too. A lovely wine for sure! (score is 94-95)

    May 3, 2014 - 3-5 % corked. Muted and a bit too acidic.
