December 11, 2017 - Grandioser Wein in sehr gutem Zustand, frisch, reif, nicht oxidiert (ausser stilbedingt durch die Ausbauart), saftige Kirschen, dezente Süße, perfekt zu Pizza. 96

May 29, 2016 - In good shape, drank it blindly in the same flight as vintage 1981. First I Thought about burgundy, but the second one showed some mints and eucalyptus. But for Californian wines I missed the power and fruit. And in the nose some Vanilla from American oak that did not fit for Burgundy, so I guessed Rioja. Very nice sweetness, round and silky Tannins. Some minimal Sherry notes in the nose but not in the palate. First I preferred 1981 but 1991 has more fruit and reached his Peak. Very nice smoothy red wine. Elegant with a nice acidity whin refreshes the palate. 95. A nice suprise

September 15, 2013 - Nose initially of old wood, with a faint cheesiness but seemingly clean enough if not distinguished. Colour mahogany fading to green. Palate light and delicate. The next evening unbearably cheesy on the nose, and ultimately undrinkable. Flawed or not?

September 2, 2013 - drink now as it's decline is well on its way
