  March 4, 2013 - (13.3%) Balanced by California Chardonnay standards as while it shows oak throughout it is yet full and packed with fruit on the palate. This lasts for some time before a dominant green apple component emerges leading to soft acidity and present minerality on an otherwise barrel driven finish. Nice framing and structure here. That said the oak plays a bit too much of a role here to be in alignment with my palate. That said at $13 this is one is well-made and a steal if it fits your profile...

  June 28, 2012 - Nice bottle, though may be working it's way past it's prime. Definitely liked that it wasn't a big creamy butter ball. Nice minerality, a little funk, good green fruit.

  December 28, 2010 - Nice bottle of chardonnay. Crisp apple which is very telling since I always get a great touch of apple in all Iron Horse Chardonnays. Nice smooth finish. Also used part of the bottle to cook some cornish hens and garlic. The pairing worked very well.
