December 24, 2016 - I was looking forward to this, and it was good - but not outstanding as I maybe had hope for. Quite neutral on the nose, but very fruity on the palate. Nice, but I don't find the complexity either.

December 18, 2016 - Very good balance and nice flavor profile, but I just don't see the complexity. Dark fruit, raisins and cooking spices pretty much sums it up for me.

December 15, 2016 - Domestic Wine Dinner - a bunch of Napa cabs and a SQN (Eddie V's - Tysons Corner): This hasn’t budged at all since last year. Assaf thinks way too young and I have to agree. Incredibly youthful nose displaying generous amount of blueberry liqueur, lavender, cinnamon, clove, smoke, limestone and ink. Excellent concentration, incredibly layered, silky and polished, nice balance and a long sweet finish. If you like Port, this is a must have. If you cellar, your grand kids will thank you!

(TAYLOR FLADGATE VINTAGE PORT) #3; NOSE-like Ware's, more cherry, but also chocolate; TASTE-extemely good, love it, but doesn't have the extra sparkle that the Warre's is showing; WA(Pierre Rovani)-98, V-93

(Taylor's Vintage Port) Lovely nose, with a typical Taylor's feminine, elegant style, alongside dark fruits and beetroot notes. Concentration here, but with finesse. A slightly raw edge to the tannins, but with good firm acids, and a feminine fruit style. Has the style, and the structure to go the distance. Good potential.
