December 24, 2015 - Double decanted 750 ml bottle; heavy sediment. Six hours later: Lovely deep ruby color; no bricking. Big nose of blackberry, vanilla, and a little alcohol. Full-bodied and concentrated blackberry jam on the palate; well balanced by acids. In the very long and pleasing finish, the tannins make their presence known. To me, this is an exemplar of great port. With the double decant and six hour wait, I believe I had a much better experience than expressed in some other notes suggesting that more time was needed.

December 10, 2015 - Vinklubben 1983's yearly X-mas dinner (Hos Britt): PnP. Dark red, red rim, 6. Rather closed bouquet of sweet sultana raisins, camphor and alcohol (maybe biased by the elegant Recioto tasted prior to this). Very intense sweet palate. Long. Drink later.....

    November 5, 2015 - CV1. Dark red, red rim, 7, fine particles :-(
Surprisingly fruity bouquet, still very much in its youth, also alcohol is pronounced.
The palate is one of the most intense I have experienced, immense concentration showing dark fruit and alcohol, long finish.
Drink now for the youthfulness or wait a long time....then higher rating.

(TAYLOR FLADGATE VINTAGE PORT) #3; NOSE-like Ware's, more cherry, but also chocolate; TASTE-extemely good, love it, but doesn't have the extra sparkle that the Warre's is showing; WA(Pierre Rovani)-98, V-93

(Taylor's Vintage Port) Lovely nose, with a typical Taylor's feminine, elegant style, alongside dark fruits and beetroot notes. Concentration here, but with finesse. A slightly raw edge to the tannins, but with good firm acids, and a feminine fruit style. Has the style, and the structure to go the distance. Good potential.
