August 8, 2013 - Dönnhoff tasting (AuZone, Stockholm): Appearance: light yellow, some green tinge, some “spritz”.
Nose: citrus, a hint of green notes, mineral, smoke, some development with petrol notes.
Palate: off-dry+/semi-sweet, citrus, yellow apple, honey, high acidity, quite concentrated, honey notes and a fresh finish.
Summary: Heavier than the 2005 Dellchen Spätlese, good balance. A fantastic off-dry wine, 91 p.

July 28, 2013 - Brought to a tasting; didn't take detailed notes. Popped and chilled approximately 90 minutes before pouring. Juicy white peaches, tangerines, honeysuckle; maybe lacking a bit of acid but still pretty nice. One of the sweeter wines of the night.

July 26, 2013 - Consumed over ~2 hours. Luminous in the glass, seemingly in good shape despite a cork which was wet all around the outside. A little creamy but still lithe, with citrus (mostly lime) and white peach fruit alongside subtle floral and pith notes which lent a nice hint of bitterness. Maybe just a touch less acid than would be ideal, but delightful nonetheless and with much life ahead of it. 91+

October 31, 2012 - Fortification post Hurricane Sandy: dinner by candlelight, leftover seafood curry, huddled by the fire. What better way to improve the mood that by inviting Mr. Donnhoff to join us, embodied in this favorite? Tangerines and peaches. Great balance. Long finish. Broken cork (again.)

July 24, 2012 - Another wonderful Tuesday supper club gathering at Christine's- with pics. (Christine's.): Still showing a bit of spritz on the palate, though not a lot in the way of development or complexity. That said, it's flamboyant and generous with upfront tropical and stone fruit. I'd prefer a bit more cut to the wine, but it was a wonderful match with the sous vide halibut in a corn and kaffir lime curry with picked chanterelles. The kaffir lime lime brought out the passion fruit and citrus flavors in the wine and the pickled chanterelles helped give the wine a bit more lift. Low A-.
