Community Tasting Notes 8

February 4, 2023 - Leads with ripe black cherry that is laced with stem spice, toasted herbs, spice and a trace of emerging earth. The palate shows more evolution with nice earth notes woven throughout. Delicious stem spice. Juicy and fresh with integrated tannins. Cruising along in a peak window.

January 22, 2017 - A great village with more upside from here. Still the slightest bit tight on the finish with some tannins. Smooth acids, Chambolle spice.

September 9, 2014 - What a great village wine. Black cherry, black raspberry and earth notes. Balance of rich but not overly sweet fruit, with savory soil and the lingering influence of the wood. 90+

December 25, 2013 - Christmas Dinner (San Francisco, CA): Wonderful intense spicy red nose; palate is medium bodied, spicy, good structure, balanced; finish is medium length. Very enjoyable, even young, needs time. 91-92

May 3, 2011 - Pop & pour. Not the style of Chambolle I gush over but still very good Burgundy. Ripe lush fruit, spice intriguing nose and a bit of a somewhat short finish.Vey niuce Burg but not worth the $63 I paid. Better value if it was $40 or less per.
