The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is medium/full. The wine finishes medium. It is a nice drinking wine by it's own.

Nettles, methol, cherry and earth on the nose. Spice, burnt sugar, black cherry on the palate. A bit off dry, but the balance is good; one of the more enjoyable california bottles of Pinot I've had. Nice long finish. Totally worth it at $25.

Dark cherry, herbal notes and a very light spice note on the palate. This is a very smooth drinking pinot and one that does not skimp on flavor. Not quite a huge CA Pinot, but not an Oregon delicate diva either. Nicely balanced and strong, lingering finish. Well done, Ceja...well done.
NOTE: this wine was sent to me as a sample from the winery.
