Thursday, December 12, 2013 - Pale yellow with green hues; nose of candied lime, clean and mineral driven, green apple; palate is richer but very focused and German- not generous but substantial, lime and green apple continue, smoky slate adds depth, and the finish echoes with a hint of white pepper, through all of it an impressive vein of acidity keeps everything taut and delicious; had at Aria, went ok with several dishes but I thought it showed its best with the trout with lump crab meat in a sunchoke purée where the wine brought out the salinity and the fish really showed its best.
