Tuesday, May 20, 2014 - First taste of the Red Shoulder from this vintage. 75% new french oak, 25% stainless. 14.9% alcohol well integrated. Banana colored. Aromas of mineral, spice, peach and apricot. Palate includes all the above plus notes of kiwi and honeydew melon. Finish lingers with a spicy aftertaste. Quite elegant and old world in character, notwithstanding the alcohol.
