Friday, June 20, 2014 - Double decanted about 3 hours before serving. Dense, dark purple color, surprisingly nice nose for such a young wine, intense initial flavors of blackberries, plums, and spices with nice mid-range and finish. Moderate tannins buried under the lovely fruit. This wine will be even better in a year or two, but still a lovely wine and close to the WA evaluation of 93 or the Tanzer evaluation of 92(+). Look forward to drinking this wine over the next 10-15 years.
