Saturday, March 2, 2013 - Pretty much pop and poured. Had a little air time, but would have likely benefited from several hours decanted. Very intriguing nose. Aside from the rich cherry undertones and port-like qualities, I was never able to put my finger on the third, intriguing quality. It made me keep coming back for more nose-time though. On the palate, this was a very rich and elegant merlot. Fruit forward and able to stand on its own as a wine to simply sit back and enjoy with friends.

I have to mention the bottle, as the labeling and wax detail were very nice. Additionally, the bottle itself was the thickest, blackest 750ml bottle I have ever handled! Serious glass!
