89 Points

Sunday, August 18, 2013 - Medium ruby color. First pretty muted, after 2 hours of decanting opening up a little. Nose of red berries, but also some dark berries, some sweet spices and some minerals. On the palate, there are berries again, minerals and also some flowers. Medium+ bodied with surprisingly medium+ acidity for this warm vintage and medium tannins, that are a touch dry. Good length. A. Galloni (who I respect a lot) rates it 92 points. Maybe it's just a little young at the moment, but I'm not sure if it will ever be in total balance of fruit, tannins and acidity. I have 2 more bottles and will taste it again in a few years...
