Monday, May 25, 2015 - This wine was hard to pinpoint down. Had an amazing nose with notes of leather and beef jerky. Was dark in color but clear. On the pallet it was muted at first but came alive after about an hour. I would decant this for 1-3 hours if you plan on drinking it soon. This was never a fruit focused driven new world wine, but instead kept with the earthy undertones which I love. Put this in a line up of Northern Rhone's and I'm quite sure many people will mistake it. One of the top American Syrah's with out a doubt.
