Tuesday, October 27, 2015 - Notes from second night; no change since the first night. I've got limited experience with the WA "rocks" region, but this impression of terroir feels as distinct as any I've seen from around the world.

Nose is really expressive -- invites you in from at least a foot away. It's like being at a pig roast in a grove of eucalyptus. On the palate, the black cherry and plum fruit is direct and pure. Olive, beef jerky, and chipotle bring up the rear. The tannins are like polished river stones. Every sip demands contemplation. Life is good.
