95 Points

Monday, April 25, 2011 - Stands up to the 2006! I almost lost my head here thinking Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon, and layers of fruit in this mountain bomb. This is a well-structured wine, a little intense right away, but just flows effortlessly on the palate for 1-2 minutes. Concentrated and rich, this wine shows what Chappellet stands for and the firm, leathery tannins leave you reaching for the glass more often. Resist and you will be drinking a beauty within 30-45 minutes as if you opened a 5 year aged bottle. Salute!
