Wednesday, June 29, 2011 - Garnet, see-through, a little purplish. On the nose, smoky blueberry, celery, and spice - reminds me of a cross between a petite sirah and cab franc. On first pour it had a bit of funk but that went away pretty quickly. Light bodied on the palate, with juicy blueberry fruit and a touch of spice, developing into a slightly bitter midpalate, soft, velvety tannins and a relatively short finish. Not much acidity to speak of, but a hint of minerality on the finish.

I paid $5 for this - show me a $5 wine that is this easy to drink and I'll give you $10. :) Good fun, 13%abv, and so not like anything at this price point. Loving it!
