Friday, September 14, 2012 - Very dark purple color, almost opaque. Oak coming through on the nose along with black raspberry and blueberry. Same darker fruits on the palate with the oak still presence, and a jammy character to the fruit. Not the style I prefer for a Pinot. This isn't a bad wine, and some will like it more than I scored it, but for me it is too heavy on the palate with too much oak.
