Monday, February 20, 2012 - Surprisingly good - has a nice reserved character and a light touch that one doesn't usually associate with this part of the world. Certainly more enjoyable than most New World Pinot (that means you New Zealand) with no overt sweetness, and good balance. Cinnamon, cola, cherries - pretty decent palate - a touch simple at times, but for £18 I think this is pretty good - not very often you see a US wine for under £30 in these parts. Lacks the structure and depth for serious aging, but I'd buy this again for mid-week quaffing.
