Friday, August 12, 2005 - 43 bottles of Château Beaucastel with Bob Parker (Mark's Duck House, Falls Church, VA): This was a pretty bottling with a very different label, and this was also a birth year wine for me, my first ever! Upon first pour my hopes jumped, as nice notes of tea-leaf and dried herbs wafted up from the glass. Alas, this crashed pretty quickly and seemed pretty mature and madeirized.
