Saturday, June 5, 2004 - Dark red with a brown hue. Notes of leather, plums, coffee, and soil coming out of the glass. Extremely powerful, yet quite elegant and smooth with superb structure, big juicy, and chewy fruit and stupendous complexity. Much better than one year ago. The wine had excellent grip, a delicious chocolatey core of ripe fruit, and stuffing for years and years of aging - yet a wine perfect for drinking now. YUM.
