Monday, February 28, 2011 - A very odd array of aromas met me upon introduction: so weird I'll refrain from describing them, but they're not smells I associate with either oxidation or TCA. Waaay beyond primary aromas here. Unfortunately for me I don't find them pleasant. On the palate, weaker and shorter than I would have expected or preferred--tart (lemon), no hint of brininess, what I'd call too, too much of the lanolin thing that I observed in the last bottle (and see other tasters have noted as well). Indeed, the longer this was open the more it resembled Savennières, and the less it bore traits common to Chablis. May be too evolved for my taste, or may just be oddball.
